Let's get together one last time. We'll smile and pretend that everything's fine. I'll cringe through your small talk and laugh at your jokes. I'll trip on my words and you'll talk til you choke. And if you should die, well, it's for the best. I'll leave a cheap quote for the curious press. No one will remember that you were here. No one will notice, nor shed a tear for you.
Goodbye to you, and fare thee well. I've got a feeling I'll see you in hell. And, as the light fades on you, who will you run to? Just die with your back to the wall.
Let's bite the bullet, dear old friend. I've got a feeling this is the end. So, I'll keep my poetry, you keep your gold. You weakened your will. while I strengthened my soul. The scene may have changed, but the act is the same. You may have the drive, but you don't have the brain. No one will remember the words that you write. The meaning is lost when the lyrics are trite.
